Scout Park Nature Trail
Open space and a ravine adjacent to the B.S.A. Mid-America District Council headquarters will be developed to provide a location for Cub Scouts to learn and to earn activity badges. Three day-use areas, with space for activities, play, picnicking and assemblies are located adjacent to the headquarters. A1/4 mile nature trail extends from the headquarters along an urban ravine. Along the trail are stations for scouts to work on activity badges including Conservation, Engineering, Naturalist, Outdoorsman, Wildlife and Geology.

Native landscape plantings at the headquarters entry and day use areas, and along the trail, will be used for environmental education and to provide screening for the facility.
