The ranch is used year-round by boys and girls aged 8 - 12.
During the summer the number of campers increases as club members
from the Omaha-Council Bluffs area attend one-week day camp sessions.
To accommodate their regular campers as well as summer day
campers, the ranch was redeveloped. Campsites with elevated platforms,
a fire ring and picnic tables provide space for 100 overnight
campers and 10 counselors. The platforms are also used as covered
activity areas. Nature trails were enhanced to improve access
and a new primary trail route was established to connect the
beach, obstacle course and amphitheater. The existing amphitheater
was renovated with new rustic log seating and an accessible stage.
The beach on Carter Lake, a Missouri River oxbow was improved
with a rustic fishing pier and an area to launch canoes.
