Chalco Hills Arboretum
Plantings are displayed along a 6.2-mile walking and biking trail encircling a lake in western Omaha, with native forest communities stretching from a lowland forest along the shoreline to oak hickory areas uphill, above the hiking trail. The arboretum includes traditional display planting, demonstration shelterbelts, wildlife plantings and four native forest communities. We developed the master plan, a phased implementation schedule and design documents for this project.
