Blackbird Scenic Overlook

This scenic overlook in Burt County, NE sits atop the rugged Missouri River bluffs on the Omaha Tribe Reservation. Within the site's restored tallgrass prairie, is an earthlodge structure recreating the historic dwelling of the Omahas and interpreting its society. Within this interpretive shelter are five exhibits describing the history of the Omahas and their accomplishments, the symbolism of the earthlodge, Lewis & Clark's travels in Nebraska, and the Missouri River Corridor Project.
