144th Street Trail

								
							

      

      

      This major connector trail serves as the Omaha trail system's
      western spine. This 2.5-mile segment was designed and implemented
      as part of a road widening project. The trail links suburban
      neighborhoods, running parallel to the highway, diverging away
      from it when topography and adjacent land uses allow more separation.
							
							

      
The Workshop is currently completing trail design on the next
      144th Street segment, immediately to the north of the existing
      trail.
